How Shipping Works on Skyfarer

Learn how shipping works when selling physical items on Skyfarer using the Purchase – Physical Item listing type.

Shipping on Skyfarer

When you sell a physical item on Skyfarer, shipping is the delivery method used for all transactions. Buyers enter their shipping address during checkout, and sellers are responsible for fulfilling the order by shipping the item to the buyer.

Setting up shipping when creating a listing

When creating a Purchase – Physical Item listing, sellers can:

• Define a shipping fee for the item
• (If applicable) Set an additional shipping fee for extra items purchased in the same order

These shipping fees are automatically added to the item price at checkout.

 

How shipping fees affect a transaction

• Skyfarer’s seller fee applies only to the item price, not the shipping fee
• Buyers see the shipping cost clearly during checkout before completing payment

What happens after a purchase

Once a buyer completes payment:

• The seller receives the order details and shipping address
• The seller ships the item to the buyer using their preferred shipping carrier
• Buyers are responsible for the shipping cost unless the seller offers free or discounted shipping

Upcoming shipping improvements (as of December 19)

We’re actively working on improvements to make shipping easier and more seamless for sellers and buyers, including:

• Prepaid shipping labels that sellers can print directly
• Dynamic shipping fees that automatically adjust based on delivery address and package details
