How to find student requests and submit offers

If you're an instructor, flight school or aviation service provider, students and other customers post Requests describing the training or service they need. You can answer with an offer instead of waiting for an inquiry.

Where to find Requests

  • On the homepage, the I want to help card → Explore recently posted requests (shown to Aviation Professional accounts).
  • Choose Requests in the search bar's category list and search (on mobile, tap the search icon first), or go to skyfareracademy.com/s?pub_categoryLevel1=Request.
  • Invitations: a student can invite you to a request. It arrives in your Inbox as Invitation to make an offer; click View request & make an offer.

Before you can make an offer

  • A published listing in a matching category. For flight training requests, that's a Flight Instructors & Schools, Pilot Training Courses or Online 1:1 Instruction listing; for aviation services requests, an Aviation Services listing. Without one you'll see You need a listing to make offers; if yours is still in review, you'll see Your listing is awaiting approval.
  • Payout details, added under Account settings → Payout details.

How to submit an offer

  1. Open the request and click Submit an offer.
  2. If the request has screening questions, they appear under your quote. You can answer them; answers are optional. Your answers are shown with your offer.
  3. Add any Additional details, and optionally pick one of your listings under Attach one of your listings so the customer can review it alongside your offer.
  4. Click Submit the offer. You'll be notified when the student responds.

Negotiating

  • The customer can Accept and pay, Make a counter offer or Reject offer.
  • While you wait, you can Update offer or Withdraw offer.
  • If the customer counters, you can Accept counter offer, Make a new counter offer or Reject counter offer.

Contact details

Phone numbers, email addresses and links can't be shared in messages, inquiries or offers until the booking is confirmed; after that you can share them freely. On a Request, that means once the customer has accepted your offer and paid. An offer that contains contact details can't be submitted until you remove them.

After the customer accepts and pays

  1. Do the work, then click I've delivered the order.
  2. The student clicks Accept order, which releases your payout, or Request changes. After making changes, click I've delivered the changes.
  3. If the customer doesn't respond, the order is accepted automatically 14 days after you mark it delivered.

Mark the order delivered within 75 days of the customer's payment: after that it's canceled automatically and the student gets a full refund.
